Disclaimer up front. I am not supporting/agreeing with the ‘Limits to Growth’ theories here. I believe these are their excuses and what they feel make a good enough ‘noble lie’ to gain support from the managerial classes, who in turn feel superior to the masses and so will go along.
I think nihilism is at the root of the problems that we face with the global elite. This worldview promotes a dark triad of ruling personalities absent light triad attributes rooted in humanity, religion, god, tradition, offspring, posterity, and so on.

However they seek to use this problem to implement their solution to solve this problem. Thus they are insane.
