Comments on China via Review of Michael P. Senger’s “Snake Oil”
First off, Michael P. Senger’s book ‘Snake Oil’ is another must-read for the true historical account of what’s been happening with ‘the worst pandemic of our lifetime’. The book summarizes the erosion of science and logical thinking pre-2020 and shows how we arrived at such a non-sensical narrative today.

In his book ‘Snake Oil’, Senger does an excellent review of all the lies and misleading guidance around the COVID19 ‘pandemic’. The main point of disagreement I have with the entire premise is that, ultimately, the whole ‘pandemic’ was completely China-derived and that all the West (and world) was ‘duped’ into following China. This is still a convenient narrative, providing some external enemy, but misses the point that the only real enemies of these governments are their own people. The pandemic responses only show we now share the Chinese response method – they’ve outsourced it to the West who was begging for it for their own population control, and this narrative provides an enemy for that.
Still, it is a good thing that, rather than debating or arguing about the ‘if’, ‘what’, or ‘how’ they pulled off this ‘pseudopandemic’ (Iain Davis’ book), we are able to pass that and argue about the ‘who’ of all this while the masses remain panicked and trustworthy of their governments. The MSM and SM narrative wants you to stay mired in noise – illogical theatre around masks, boosters, war, inflation, ‘Squirrel!’, whatever. Whatever stops you from focusing, taking in the big-picture, asking questions, and tying details together. So debating points around Senger’s ideas at least starts at a point of acknowledging that ‘they’ (groups) are working very hard against us.
This knowledge of history is needed (in printed form) so as to know where we came from in 2019, what is now normal for pandemics (regardless how wrong they are scientifically), and to prepare for the future responses, for which the WHO will directly control without our pesky sovereign-nation processes to get in the way.
What I found handy to do, each time Xi Jinping was brought up as the main perpetrator who ‘tricked’ the world, was to replace his name with simply ‘they’ or ‘them’. For example, page 42: “This is the story of how lockdowns, having sprung into human consciousness on the order of Xi Jinping, were propagated into global policy with total absence of precedent, analysis, or logic…” Replacing “Xi” with ‘them’ keeps the same effect yet ties China into the global system, rather than being an evil, single enemy.
The accuracy of Senger’s points of coverage (which are well-referenced) regarding the roll out of the ‘pandemic’ remain unchanged regardless the motive or source:
Pages 42-44 – some background of basic pandemic plans pre-2019, showing no lockdowns of healthy even for fatality rates of >3%. Includes the praise towards China from the WHO and others, helping to normalize the ‘China did it rights since they didn’t have pesky democratic processes in the way’ thought.
Lockdown of the healthy in Chapter V – ‘Just Stay Home’. Summarizes the history of fake models (Fergusson). The push from actors such as Tomas Pueyo, publishing op-ed pieces to promote lockdowns of the healthy. The fake images of Chinese citizens falling dead.
The entire PCR scandal from its origins to how it is used to promote any aspect of the pandemic to suit the plans of controlling people.
The IFR versus CFR narrative, frightening people via the ‘3% death rate!’ all the while knowing it was <0.x% from March 2020.
The early announcements like Fauci’s on how masks weren’t effective (for viruses such as this), asymptomatic spread ‘is never a driver of respiratory pandemics’, and that C19 may end up being similar to a bad influenza year. Then, the sudden shutdown of all society without explanation.
Chapter VII – descriptions of how SARSCOV2 was circulating in 2018/2019 in much of Asia. And how the moving goal-posts of lockdowns, vaccine promises, and curve-flattening served to demoralize and confuse a weary public.
Great summary of lockdown effects on poor and poor countries, showing how the deaths resulting from these will far outstrip ‘with C19’ deaths.
Again, this book is a must-read for these points and many more. Guaranteed there will be fully-referenced points in here that you will not have heard of, which will make you mad all over again, in a good way though.
But the main point of my review, typified by the end of Chapter VII, is the premise Xi did this alone- we are asked ‘who determines the science?’ Answer ‘your leader, Xi Jinping, Chairman of the World.’ There are numerous examples where the entire ‘pandemic’ and its response is explained via inept Western leaders being gullible and ‘duped’ by China.
Page 59. Hinting that suspicious Chinese Twitter accounts likened Boris Johnson’s herd immunity (Sweden) approach to be genocidal, and then 2 days later caused him to lockdown.
Page 78. Describing how Western economists and commentators were ‘duped’ by China and tricked into thinking that lockdowns worked.
End of Page 140 (Chapter VIII) – the system needed a ‘new lie’ to justify suspension of rule of law. ‘Xi had found it in the form of a “virus”.
Page 147: “By convincing world leaders to likewise view their people as enemies impeding the goal of Zero Covid, the CCP had turned world governments into one tyranny after another”.
These are just a few examples of ‘evil’ China (Xi) tricking or coercing the West into hating their own citizens as ‘being in the way, so follow China’. I disagree with this take, and think that it is letting the Western leaders off the hook.
China and Xi Jinping are simply being used (again) as a handy enemy that we can place blame upon. In reality, what is really happening is that all world governments are cooperating behind the scenes, it is just that the balance of power is and has been shifting from the West-dominated ‘rules-based’ international order to include more influence from China and Russia. That is, the narrative can be that Russia and China are evil and gaining power, causing the West to go downwards in power and wealth. In reality this transfer is promoted and has been for decades. The people in the East (China, Russia) are already suppressed and oppressed, and they already have a very tiny proportion of ‘middle class’ people. This power shift makes the leaders and ‘oligarchs’ of those nations stronger and wealthier, not their citizens. The Reset of 2020-2030 serves to push down the PEOPLE of the West while keeping and growing the wealth and power of the ‘oligarchs’. The people remain the common enemy. It is all theatre: ‘look at the bumbling West leaving Afghanistan’, ‘Biden is mentally-unstable’, ‘China is taking over the world while the West argues about pronouns’, etc. China doesn’t need to be reset because more than 85% of its populace is already in technocratic control and going along with it. The West needs the Reset to remove traits such as autonomy, liberalism, and rights of the person. This is best-described by Iain Davis in his article on ‘The New International Rules-Based Order” The West had its larger share of the ‘new world order’ from 1945 till the 2000’s. U.S. rulers each decade gave speeches with ‘new world order’ at the transition of major societal changes (1989 fall of USSR, 2001/2003 ‘installing democracy’ throughout the world, 2022 Biden. etc.)
You can read the joint Russia-China statement which signifies their allegiance to the WEF world-view, similar to how all those Western leaders gave verbatim ‘Build Back Better’ pledges to the UN during the pandemic. They are all signaling that this is the new system and that they are all on board with it. From the China/Russia statement:
I realize you could take this both ways. One the one hand these are fake signaling-tricks and China/Russia are sneaking around back and trying to take over the world. Or at face-value it’s the same type of pledge as all our leaders’ ‘build back better’ verbal nonsense. I doubt any world leader really suddenly thinks now is a good time for MAD (mutually-assured-destruction), but MAD and nuclear war threats sure provide a good layer of fear porn while we have a short relief before the next pandemic, or a ‘climate lockdown’. I liken the multipolar world simply being China and Russia taking more of the pie, with the main goal of suppressing and controlling their populations having never changed. Similar to mafia wars – they may take sides, sometimes attack one another, and take the occasional country (turf), but the end-goal remains the same – control and own the resources (people, energy).
Side note – I also believe the latest harsh lockdown scenes over the last few months (Spring 2022) coming out of Shanghai and other Chinese cities serve to provide a reference point for Westerners. That is, for more than two years now, if you ever made the comparison to the Chinese system of population control, the response is usually ‘well at least we’re not China’. The point is to slowly normalize ever so slightly more authoritarian measures in small steps for the West. That way the extreme of China still seems far off. Examples such as bank account seizures, mobility rights suspended, bodily-autonomy violated, coercion of job loss for injections, etc. The ‘at least we’re not China’ can be used for many years to come, until one day we are China.
The technocratic system, devised in the 1930s, had as its main tenets the social engineering of all people, and control and tracking of all energy transactions (i.e. people and their consumption). None of this was possible in the 1930s, and was still not in the 1970’s. The process of perfecting this fell to China from the 1970s on, and it was the West (via Kissinger and Brzezinski) that promoted and facilitated this. First by decades of planned transfer of Western wealth and jobs from the 80s to the 2000’s, and next by the transfer and perfecting of biosecurity and social media throughout the 2000’s. All the while, it was portrayed in the West as ‘those evil’ Chinese companies stealing our technology and trade (military) secrets. Truth is the West agreed to and promoted this transfer, and acted ‘shocked’ at China’s lack of privacy and extreme censorship only to appease the Western middle-classes who were losing their livelihoods. I know personally because I helped transfer entire platforms of ‘intellectual property’ for mobile 3G and 4G products (then 5G) into Chinese factories. All mobile platforms and systems have their ‘backdoors’ for monitoring and surveillance, and the governments control and have access to these. The West put on the façade with Huaweii, for example, of a ‘security threat’ from Chinese equipment. “Well Google and Cisco could never do THAT” in the West. Having worked there off and on from 2001 till 2018, I saw the extreme ends of population control that they were implementing – they stood out as so blatantly-oppressive to a Westerner *. It would be naïve to think that Western companies and technologies would support outright spying on Chinese citizens, then dutifully disable those same features for the West. The application of these measures are most likely more stark due to population density. The average city in China is almost the size of some small countries, and so the control is most likely proportional. That is, the West doesn’t have to go ‘full China’ by 2030, but it does have to shift enough proportion of the masses into the new system.
*Footnote – the control measures didn’t stick out to most Westerners. I’d say only 1 or 2 out of 10 colleagues noticed anything since ‘if you weren’t guilty of anything, why do you care?’
Senger’s ‘Snake Oil’ gets the discussion to the right point. That is, leave the majority of the masses who still believe the world is changing in a good way due to ‘the worst pandemic of our lifetime’ to argue about masks, injections, ‘staying safe’ etc. But the rest, move on to the real ‘who’ and ‘why’ they are doing this question. ‘Snake Oil’ leaves most of this at the feet of one evil actor, which has been the narrative for decades. The West obviously has wanted to build China up to take over its share of developing the world (infrastructure on every continent). The West has also helped develop and use China’s model for population control (technocracy). They are all partners under the system, it’s just China now has a bigger stake in the multi-polar world.
The world map isn’t quite like Orwell’s ‘1984’ yet, but the premise gets closer and closer.
“All three are totalitarian dictatorships. Oceania’s ideology is Ingsoc (English Socialism), Eurasia’s Neo-Bolshevism and Eastasia’s is the Obliteration of the Self (one imagines some kind of Buddhist-inspired fascism. If one can). These ideologies are very similar, but the people are not informed of this”.
“The three states are in a perpetual state of warfare – sometimes two against one, sometimes all three against each other. These wars are fought in the disputed territories, running from North Africa over the Middle East and southern India to Southeast Asia.”
The masses, of course, are simply told who the enemy of the day is, and dutifully follows the narrative to comply and fit in. Sound familiar?
